Johannesburg is the largest business centre on the African continent and the city-region accounts for one-third of the total output of South Africa. High-quality industrial, office and retail space are situated in close proximity, attracting business and labour from across the globe. The city’s commercial real estate market is currently tenant-favourable; new developments and refurbishments, as well as the establishment of a new commercial node – the Waterfall Estate – have contributed to the oversupply of space across all property categories.
